Our amenities include the Crystal Cove Aquatic Center, Community Center, parks & trails, variety of programs and services for all ages, well-groomed sports fields, and the redeveloped Crystal Shopping Center.”`

Crystal is located just west of Minneapolis and is bordered by Golden Valley, New Hope, Robbinsdale, Minneapolis, and Brooklyn Center. It is home to one of the regional airports, which is currently under consideration for redevelopment, though the chances it will change are unlikely at this time. Just recently the Crystal Shopping Center on Bass Lake Road had a major face lift of the storefronts and some new tenants move in, which has provided a fresh new look for what was becoming a tired facade.
Crystal’s location near Minneapolis and it’s excellent access to highway 100 and transit makes it a great first-ring suburb. The city has a vast assortment of housing options, including some condos and townhouses as well as pockets of newer homes, though most of the homes are from the 1960’s-1970’s.
Crystal isn’t just all work and no play. When they’re not working, residents can enjoy the Crystal Cove Aquatic Center, the community center, tennis courts, skate park, community dog park or community gardens. The city also has more than 240 acres of parks and green space, including 28 parks.
The median age in Crystal is 37 , slightly higher than the statewide median of 35.4. Median household income in Crystal his slightly higher than the state median, $59,897 to $55,616.
Minnesota Highway 100 runs through the city, and Highway 169 — another major north-south artery, is just west of the city. According to the census bureau, the city, located just west of Minneapolis, has total area of 5.9 square miles.
